Egle Valute was born in 1991, in Klaipeda city, Lithuania. At the age of 6, she began her violin studies with teacher-methodist Kristina Kupsiene at Eduardas Balsys Gymnasium of Arts in Klaipeda city. In 2018, she graduated with Master’s degree in Violin Performance and Violin Pedagogy studying with Professor Christian Altenburger at University for Music and Performing Arts in Vienna.
In the years 2015/16, Egle participated in the “Erasmus+” exchange programme to study one year Master’s degree at Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et Danse de Lyon in France with Professor Marianne Piketty. Egle is a prize winner and active participant of various competitions and festivals, such as: “Musique aux 4 Horizons” in Ronchamp (France), “Les Saisons” concert series with violinist Marianne Piketty, and actress Irene Jacob in Paris (France).
Loisiarte festival for music and literature where she played together with musicians Christain Altenburger, Thomas Selditz, Patrick Demenga and Franz Bartolomey in Langenlois (Austria), “Cully Classique” (Switzerland), Wels Modern music festival (Austria), Kaunas festival’08 (Lithuania), “Moscow meets friends” (2007, Russia).
Egle is also a 3rd prize winner of International competition “Gradus ad Parnassum” (2007, Lithuania), Diploma winner of International August Dombrovski violin competition (2008, Latvia), 1st prize winner of Republic violin competition of Raimundas Katilius (2009, Lithuania), and 2nd prize winner of Republic violin competition of Jonas Urba (2010, Lithuania). She has also performed as a soloist with various orchestras: Kaunas Symphony orchestra, “Rassiskaja camerata”, “Camerata Klaipeda”, Klaipeda’s chamber orchestra.
She has also taken part in various master classes with Professors: Zakhar Bron, Petru Munteanu, Christian Altenburger, Galina Turchaninova, Marianne Piketty, and Coosje Wijzenbeek. In the years 2008, 2009 and 2014, she was a scholar of Mstislav Rostropovich, Haus Marteau and SYLFF Tokyo Foundations. In July 2015, Egle was invited to participate as a guest member on a tour with chamber orchestra “Kremerata Baltica” founded and directed by violinist Gidon Kremer.
Since 2015, Egle has become a member of Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra.
