Rolanda Ginkute

Rolanda Ginkute is a Lithuanian born violinist. She began her Pre-Collegue studies
at the Cologne University of Music and Dance in Germany. Few years later she
received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree at the Queen Sofía College of Music
in Spain under the supervision of Professor Zakhar Bron.
Rolanda has won numerous national and international music competitions and
performed in festivals and concerts in many European countries including her debuts
as a soloist in Berliner Philharmony, Cologne Philharmony, Alte Oper Frankfurt, De
Doelen in Rotterdam, Palau de la Música Catalana in Barcelona, Auditorio Nacional
de Música and Monumental Theatre in Madrid, Kursaal Interlaken in Switzerland.
Rolanda gave her recitals in Switzerland, Germany, Spain and Lithuania, many of
them being filmed and recorded by the national radio and television of Lithuania and
Spain.
She became a laureate of Queen Martha award, was granted the scholarship of
Mstislav Rostropovich Foundation and received a diploma from Her Majesty Queen
Sofia of Spain.
As a soloist she has performed with many orchestras, including the Spanish Radio
and Television Symphony Orchestra (RTVE), Franz Schubert Filharmonia and
Chamber Orchestra “Moscow Virtuosi” among others.
Her performance with Quartet “Esferas” received the AIE prize for chamber music
with a concert tour Spain wide. In 2022 she made her album recording together with
the pianist Vadim Gladkov for the National Radio of Spain.
Rolanda has been regularly invited as a concertmaster of professional orchestras.
During the season 2018-2020 she was a concertmaster of the Symphony Orchestra
Adda Simfonica. Since the season 2019/2020 she was a member of the Spanish
National Orchestra (ONE). Among the most remarkable ones were her recent
collaborations as a guest concertmaster of Spanish National Orchestra, Tenerife
Symphony Orchestra, Principality of Asturias Symphony Orchestra among others.
Since 2014 she is a member of Zakhar Bron Chamber Orchestra in Switzerland.
Rolanda had a pleasure to collaborate with some of the most distinguished
conductors such as Zubin Mehta, Sir András Schiff, Andrés Orozco-Estrada, Juanjo
Mena among others.
Recently, she has been appointed as the principal 2nd violin of Qatar Philharmonic
Orchestra.
