A Musical Encounter: Sounds of Qatar and Argentina – SOLD OUT

September 14, 2025 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM Qatar National Convention Centre, Auditorium 3

Experience a concert of cultural dialogue, as the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra showcases a special preview performance in Doha ahead of its debut at the world-renowned Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires. Presented as part of the Qatar-Argentina 2025 Year of Culture, the concert reflects a shared commitment to deepening understanding through the universal language of music.

The Years of Culture initiative, chaired by Her Excellency Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, creates spaces where such encounters can take place. Each edition links Qatar with a partner country through programmes that highlight cultural heritage, creative industries, social and economic development and innovation. These collaborations encourage genuine dialogue and the building of shared cultural memory.

The concert will bring together tango, Arab traditions, and classical symphonies, reflecting this mission through sound. It is both a debut and a dialogue. It is a gift of music that honours Argentina’s traditions while introducing the audience to the Philharmonic’s distinctive voice, connecting people across continents.
