Ines Wein was born in Eichstätt, Germany. She studied viola, chamber music and musicology with Hariolf Schlichtig and Christoph Poppen at the Music University of Munich and completed her studies with the Masterclass Diploma. Additionally she studied baroque viola and viola d´amore at the Institute for Historical Perfomance Practice in Munich.

Chamber music and early music are major interests, and Ines performed widely in Europe with the Amira-Quartett and many other ensembles. Besides this she was invited as a guest to orchestras such as Münchner Rundfunkorchester, Münchner Symphoniker and Musica vitae. For her work she was awarded scholarships and prizes from Villa Musica, Live Music Now, Theodor-Rogler-Foundation and the German Government.
