Elizaveta Hesse attended the Moscow Tchaikovsky State Conservatory under the tutorship of the famed Professors Maya Glezarova and Zoria Shikmurzaeva and graduated with honors.
Elizaveta has made numerous international recordings for radio, television and CD, with top solo performances in Ukraine, France, Japan, Czech Republic, Germany, Austria and other countries.
Winning scholarships from the Ukrainian Foundation, Hertie Foundation Germany, Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra, AUTEX Ltd. Russia, Boesch Foundation Vienna, Bayreuth Scholarship of Wagner Societies, Elizaveta went on to complete her postgraduate degree at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna with the leading violinist Professor Christian Altenburger. During this time, she played for several years with Vienna Symphony Orchestra.
Elizaveta has worked closely and performed with conductors such as Lorin Maazel, Claudio Abbado, Seiji Ozawa, Pierre Boulez, Gerd Albrecht, Mariss Jansons, Franz Welser-Möst, Ingo Metzmacher, Marcello Viotti, Leonard Slatkin, Roberto Paternostro, Patrick Ringborg, Andreas S. Weiser, Radoslaw Szulc, Nader Abbassi and Michalis Economou, and at festivals such as the London PROMS, Edinburgh Festival, Salzburg Festival, Tanglewood Festival and Lucerne Festival.
True to form, Ms.Hesse performed regularly while studying, wowing audiences in solo recitals, a highlight of which was acclaimed solo performances with the Moscow Radio Orchestra in the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory.
From 1999 to 2002 Elizaveta was a member of the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra (music director: Claudio Abbado).
In 2001 Ms.Hesse participated in Juilliard School New York / Leipzig Mendelssohn Hochschule master classes and performed as a soloist in Gewandhaus Hall.
In 1999 and 2001 Ms. Hesse was invited for master classes by The Gustav Mahler Music and Youth Foundation in Bolzano-Italy (music director: Claudio Abbado) and worked closely with famous world-class soloists from Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, Vienna Symphony Orchestra and Filarmonica della Scala.
From 2004 to 2010 Elizaveta was a permanent orchestra member at Hesse States Orchestra in Kassel, Germany.
Ms. Hesse performed as soloist and concertmaster at numerous music festivals such as Musica Rara Festival Germany for contemporary music and Castleton Festival USA (music director: Lorin Maazel).
From 2010 to 2011 Elizaveta was the concertmaster for symphonic concerts and operas with Maestro Maazel. During the 2011 Castleton Festival, she played the solo violin in Rimsky Korsakov’s famous Scheherazade under the Maestro’s baton.
Celebrated for a wide range of means of expression and special individual style of interpretation, Elizaveta is in demand as performer for contemporary music.
Passionate about new generations, Ms. Hesse is also an experienced violin teacher and leading violin expert at Qatar Music Academy. Today, Elizaveta continues to impress as Co-Leader of the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra.
