Born in Hungary, Norbert Zakó received his first French horn lessons at the age of 6. At 13, he chose to learn the trombone, eventually continuing his studies with Professor Lorand Vida at the High School for Music in Pecs, where he graduated with a teaching diploma. He moved on to the Music Academy in Debrecen, where he received a master’s degree with Professor Ferenc Koczias.

Since 2006, Norbert Zakó has been a permanent member of the state opera in Budapest. He has worked in many local and international orchestras and taught at the High School for Music in Pecs. He won several international prizes with his trombone quartet Extreme Trombones.
