Julia Korodi

Born into a musical family as the daughter of a Conductor and a Violinist, Julia began taking violin and piano lessons at the age of 5. She received her Bachelor and Master’s Degrees as a Violinist, chamber musician and Violin teacher at the prestigious Ferenc Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest, Hungary.

Julia has performed as soloist with several Hungarian orchestras and took part in numerous international music festivals, such as the Orchestra Institute of the Vienna Philharmonic, Lorin Maazel’s Castleton Festival, and many more.

Multiple prize-winner of the Hungarian National Chamber Music Competition in String Trio and String Quartet categories, she was also a member of the Dohnanyi Symphony Orchestra from 2004 to 2008. She is also a founding member and leader of the Vivart Chamber Orchestra.

Julia has been with QPO since its inauguration in 2008. In recent years, she has been active as an arranger, orchestrator and composer, exploring different fields and styles of music. She has a Masters Certificate in Artist Management from Berklee College of Music and has participated in several successful international musical productions.

Julia is a proud mother of two.
