Cezar Iesanu was born in Ploiesti, Romania, on the 13th of February, 1968, into a family of musicians. He began studying the violin in his native town when he was only six years old, having as teachers his grandfather and uncle, both well-known musicians.

Iesanu continued his studies in Bucharest at Ciprian Porumbescu Music Academy in Bucharest. He participated in numerous national and international contests at which he obtained several important prizes. During this time he sustained an intensive activity as a soloist and concertmaster to the State Philharmonic Paul Constantinescu Ploiesti, the Lebanese National Symphonic Orchestra and the orchestra of Halberstadt, Germany. At present he is proud to be part of and to play in the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra as a tutti player.
