Born 1972 in Szolnok, Hungary, Attila Szűcs began playing the horn when he was 14. He studied at the Debrecen Conservatory in 1988-1991, then at Franz Liszt Music Academy of Budapest in1992-1996 with Professor Ferenc Tarjáni. He completed his training through a scholarship at the Georg Soros Foundation in Weber Musikhochschule Dresden in1998.

In 1995, he received three 1st prizes, at the Philip Farkas Horn competition, Yamagata Horn competition, and IHS Low Horn competition.

Attila Szűcs’ orchestral career began in Budapest Operhouse in 1994, then he was a member of the Hungarian Radio Symphony Orchestra from 1996 to 2008. He performed in the Wiener Symphoniker in 2004 and the Orfeo Chamber Orchestra with naturhorn from 2004 to 2008.
