Born in Minsk, Belarus, Aleksandr Haskin’s education includes MA (2007) and DMA (2010) degrees from the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory. He also spent one year in scholarship-based study at the Yale University School of Music in the United States.

From 2007-2008 Mr. Haskin was solo piccoloist of the Bolshoi Theatre Orchestra in Moscow. He was also principal flutist of the Moscow Conservatory Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Gennady Rozhdestvensky.

Aleksandr conducted master classes and open lessons in the United States (Carnegie-Mellon University, Pittsburgh; Colburn School and University of South California, Los Angeles; Levine School in Washington DC and Missouri State University), Russia, Belarus, Qatar, and Iran.

He was the top prize winner of many international competitions including the Young Concert Artist International Audition in New York, 2009 And he performed solo concerts at Kennedy Center, Washington DC; Kaufmann Center, New York; and the Great Hall of the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory.
